Developing Lifetime Action Plans: Preserve–Achieve–Avoid
An Excerpt From the Curriculum of the 4th Grapevine
This is the first of three analytical tools for ferreting out topic areas that may be rich with material for enhancing Visions, Lifetime Goals (optional) and Action Plans. As you zero in on those values and Lifetime Goals that fall short of your aspirations, it’s extremely effective to take the overall situation from a long distance perspective before you delve into specific actions. Preserve – Achieve – Avoid is an effective way to do this.
To begin, develop a heading that labels the situation, e.g., “Discontent with Patient Care.” Then analyze the situation under the following three columns, such as the following:
